Conduct group orientations and individual intake interviews for new clients entering Peninsula ASAP.
Assign clients to education classes and/or refer them to appropriate local treatment modalities.
Receive, monitor, and manage all court-referred cases.
Prepare and submit compliance and status reports at the request of the court.
Maintain confidentiality agreements between clients and Peninsula ASAP.
Provide prompt, accurate, and timely compliance information to courts; appear in court and testify when required.
Assist clients and their families in identifying, locating, and accessing local resources that support rehabilitation.
Perform all related duties of a Case Manager under supervision.
Exceptional organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
General knowledge and/or experience within the criminal justice system.
Knowledge or experience in counseling, instruction, or teaching adults.
Understanding of alcohol and drug use, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Knowledge of interviewing techniques and client risk classification methods.
Familiarity with laws pertaining to substance abuse.
Knowledge of casework methods and best practices.
Ability to remain objective during interviews and investigations and to analyze client behaviors and attitudes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in courtroom settings.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, courts, law enforcement, clients, and community members while representing Peninsula ASAP.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet strict reporting deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), Adobe documents, and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom, GoToMeeting, and Google Meet.
Candidates must successfully pass a criminal background investigation, DMV record check, and drug screening.

Performs a variety of typing functions including typing correspondence, court reports, envelopes, and, labels
Maintain up to date mailing addresses
Assists with paperwork portion of urine drug screens collections
Assists with intake paperwork and setting up files
Performs other related work as required

Thorough knowledge of the operations and clerical activity related to Peninsula ASAP (or sufficient education or experience to quickly learn)
Thorough knowledge of office practices

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and two to four years of related responsible clerical experience. Up to 60 hours of related college coursework may be substituted for the experience requirements on an equivalent time basis. The candidate must be able to successfully pass a criminal background investigation, including a DMV record check and drug screen.
